#286 – The work of our Hands
Your work in this life and your job are two very different things. Your work is the Eternal purpose decided, before you entered your mother’s womb. A job is an assignment designed to fund the work.
Working a job is fine, be sure to work your work, while working your job. The work always edifies and builds people, while building the kingdom. The work has its own intrinsic rewards.
The work is guaranteed to produce, either hope, peace or fulfillment through a sense of accomplishment. Those that master the work are content in all seasons and circumstances. The work is life.
When a role is no longer fulfilling, it means the season for that environment has passed. The work remains, the assignment changes. The lack of passion and reward is not about the work. The feeling of discontentment is about failing to move, as I have led you. It means that I have a new assignment for you.
Psalm 90:16-17
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
