#148 – Pass the Baton (Part 2)

There is a baton passed from season to season, a baton passed from generation to generation and a baton passed from the spirit realms to the earthly realms. Before it was Moses’s staff, then Israel’s Ark and now the Cross of Christ.

In life’s race there will be straightaways, uphills, downhills and curves. The straightaways are optimal conditions, requiring minimal focus. The uphills are the times of struggle and require perseverance and a focus.

The downhills are the times of prosperity and require restraint and humility. The curves are different, they can be times of trouble or great shifting. The curves are best handled by leaning into them, trust ME in the curves.

Submitting to the curve is assuming a posture of surrender, allowing inertia to dictate your velocity. Keeping momentum, is in knowing when to focus, persevere, be humble, use restraint or to surrender 100% to the process.

2 Corinthians 5:14-17
Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

  1. Thank you Lord for the straightaways, appeals, down heels, and curves. Each require a different mindset in order to make it through.
