#147 – Pass the Baton (Part 1)

The old you must pass the baton to the new you. The former self must make way for the future self. Yesterday is done and much has transpired: the blessings, the miracles, the pain and the shame all reside in that passing season.

As you move into a new environment, from the old environment, be sure to maintain your momentum. The baton symbolizes the accomplishments, the promise, the hope and the legacy. The goal is to move from yesterday, to today and to tomorrow, without losing stride.

As you run into what is next, make the transitions and the needed adjustments, based on your new assignments. The race depends on speed, timing and strategy, but the baton is equally important and must complete the race.

If the baton is dropped or fails to make it to the finish line, in anyway, you are disqualified. This is the crucial part, to complete your assigns and answer each of life’s calls, in a way, that opens a path into MY rest, being well and done.

2 Corinthians 5:1-5
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies. While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life. God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit.

#146 – An Earthly Deficit

You are a reflection of the light, connected to, the true and living light. It was ME that said, let there Be. I Am the source of all illumination and becoming the light is not your role. We are a team, MY dominion is Heaven and your dominion is earth.

Becoming too heavenly minded will lead to an earthly deficit. It is difficult, even impossible to be offended and anointed at the same time. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, through sin, you have taken on the enemy’s identities: becoming a thief, a murderer and a destroyer.

You are replacing your purpose, your calling and your gifting for a sinful disposition. It is time for ownership: things you have said, things you have done and things you are thinking. The results have been disastrous and people have been hurt.

The day of calling wrong, right and right, wrong are over. I need you, to get to a place where the actions and words of men, against you, do not matter. The only thing that matters is what I command you to do and who you are to become.

2 Timothy 2:24-26
Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

#140 – Times of Testing

In the moments of turmoil are where you will find the most sincere peace. Discovering faith in the chaos makes it all worthwhile and these times of testing, ensure a knowing of what a faith is made.

Growth is when you can see the victory and vanquishment in the same light, being aware that both are working together for your good. It is a shift in your prayers from deliverance and to becoming decisive.

Being fully persuaded, that the trouble in your world can be seen as a problem or the process, I Am using, to shape and mold you. It is your decision whether to lament or to be MY life of lamentation.

You are not a victim of circumstances, but are a preselected victor. The obstacles before you are no longer seen as predicaments of punishment, but are the processes of promotion asked for in prayer.

Romans 4:18-22
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he acknowledged the decrepitness of his body (since he was about a hundred years old) and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb. Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God was able to do what He had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness

#137 – Say Whoa

Do not waste a precious moment being or becoming someone else’s expectation, you are an original. Measuring up to outside standards is a hard thing to do. Trust and acknowledge the instincts, I have hardwired inside you.

MY burden is easy and MY yoke is light. I have given you the authority to say NO and to say WHOA, when you have had, enough. Every opportunity is not for you and the tribe can be be both a liberating and a limiting influence.

Solve what I set before you and not what man or society, says to solve. I Am more than the source of your strength, I Am your strength. The more you yield to ME will reveal deeper dimensions of MY person and MY Glory.

This is MY rest and resting in ME is not weakness, but is the embodiment of strength. Your strengths are finite, but MINE are omnipotent, because MY word is spoken from eternity, it is simultaneously true in your past, present and future.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

#136 – Live for Legacy

There is a forgiveness that you bestow, another forgiveness you request and one other that you give to yourself. The most important type of forgiveness and the most difficult to hold is the one you give yourself. Have you forgiven yourself?

It is over, it is done and there is no need to hold the shame anymore. Do not waste an ounce of your last days fighting, an old version of yourself. I set before you the tools to cement your legacy, live for legacy. Speak life or do not speak at all.

Live the rest of your days as an example for your family. The secrets to life are to be passed like a baton and shared with the world. Be a source of light and strength, for all who you love and it will illuminate a pathway for your bloodline.

Live each day for the next generation, live for legacy and live life for the benefit of the living. Be the example of grace, that you craved in your darkest moments. Be the light of hope, to illuminate the path for a wayward soul.

Psalms 112:1-6
Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.

#134 – Not Too Big for ME

There is a future in the spirit realm, that I Am giving you access to. A demand must be made to pull it into your now. The person you aspire to be is real. Call out to your better self in the infinite and move under the auspices of that wisdom.

Because you have seen the perfected image of yourself, I Am obligated to perform and it is a binding covenant. A vision is a promise, that I will fulfill, when you conspire with ME. A hope is an oath, that I will insure, when you trust ME.

Focus not on performance or perfection, focus on MY voice. Momentary failures are a part of your perfecting. Your circumstances are not too big for ME, the opinions of men are not too big for ME and your self-doubt is not too big for ME.

I Am the infinite ultimate power standing in your past with forgiveness, I Am the infinite ever present power standing in your present with guidance and I Am the infinite all-knowing power standing in your future with hope.

Jeremiah 32:17-19
‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. You show steadfast love to thousands, but you repay the guilt of fathers to their children after them, O great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts, great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of man, rewarding each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.

#133 – The Need for Escapism (Part 2)

Though you have a measure of success, despite the addictions, it pales in comparison to the fullness of what you could and should be. You are not disqualified, the many plans I have for are fully intact. This affliction has prepared you even the more.

The traumatic events are not your fault and not your shame to hold any longer, however the healing, repairing and learning from the traumas is your responsibility. I have trusted you with trouble and the end is for MY Glory.

It is time to focus not on the problem, but on where you want to be. Holding your breath between relapses is not working. I want you to breathe in each aspect of this situation: the emotions, the feelings and the fears.

What will emerge is a survival blueprint and way of escape for many. Be strategic and plan each moment, each day and each season based on what you want. Focus on who you are versus placing energy into what you have done.

1 Corinthians 10:11-13
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

#132 – The Need for Escapism (Part 1)

Beloved you are secretly addicted to a behavior and a need for escapism. The addiction has become a god and you are living from one high to the next high. The behaviors of bingeing and purging have become far too common.

The addictive behavior is the fruit and trauma is the root. Until the layers of the traumatic events are exposed and allowed to heal, the need for escapism, will be the outcome. The craving could be a physical, mental or an emotional over reliance .

The real you is hidden between the exhaustion and the escaping. Who you are outside of the behavior is a mystery. When you say yes to the escapism, you are also saying, yes to the pain and yes to trauma. You are giving it the control.

Yes to one thought process, becomes no to another thought. As the escapism is further exercised, you are saying no, to your purpose, no to your calling and no to your gifting. The answer to the addiction is a healed heart.

Isaiah 53:4-6
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.

#131 – Get out the Boat

A spirit of gratefulness will change your countenance and attract positivity from those around you. Be rejuvenated and experience a reset, a renewal in your spirit man. Your circumstances may be bleak and the shadow of frustrations are at hand.

However, you are not obligated to look like, what you are going through. A smile in the day of trouble confuses the enemy. There will always be naysayers, doubters and people that do not believe the God, inside of you.

You have to move anyway. The assignment yet persists. The lame man was told, ‘Take up your bed and walk’, the 10 lepers were told, ‘go show yourself to the priest’ and Peter was told, ‘take courage and come’ outside the boat.

Each of these miracles required: first a right believing, second a right hearing and third a right receiving. Like Peter, it is time to get out of the boat, because it is time to walk on water. It is time to tread upon the things, that you fear.

Matthew 14:26-29
When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.

#130 – The Law is Unlivable

A thing can be 100% unfair and 100% righteous. A system can be oppressive and opportunity giving, at the same time. When the circumstances create a clean heart and renews a right spirit, then it has immense value.

I AM your Father and I love you, not because you are perfect, but because you are flawed. I love you past the mistakes, past the flaws and past the inadequacies. I Am in love with the real you, the vulnerable you.

It is time for you to apologize, humble yourself and make things right again. Place your ego on the alter and your relationship can be restored. Right or Wrong the relationship being out of alignment is not worth it.

MY kingdom is not built on law, but love. I AM Love, not the law and the law cannot redeem you. The law is unlivable and makes all men sinners. Grace extinguishes and fulfills the law, giving sinners a life to live.

1 Corinthians 15:54-58
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
