Everything you do is worship. What you invest your time in is a god and the action of attending to that god is the action of worshipping. As you evaluate the chasm between you and I, this lessor god is the reason for the lack of intimacy with ME.
You have found the time to honor things, that are not honorable. You have given the opinions of people, far too much influence. The power is not in things, the power is in ME. The ability to recharge and have vitality is in ME.
When the praises go up, MY presence abounds. Praising ME is strategic, calculating and beneficial. Praise in the midst of trouble is warfare. The act of praising ME while under siege may seem trivial, but it is powerfully essential.
It releases you from the outcomes, it signifies coming to the end of yourself and shifting ALL your trust into God. It is the point where carnal measures are done and the Holy Spirit is given the permission to flow. It is an active and precise decision to invite ME into the bosom of your troubles.
Psalms 22:1-5
My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from delivering me, and from my roaring words of distress? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and at night, but I have no rest. But You are holy, O You who inhabits the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You did deliver them. They cried to You and were delivered; they trusted in You and were not put to shame.
