Christ carried his cross and you must carry the same. A life of sacrifice is what I require. Will you sacrifice the love of money, prestige, ego, bitterness and pride? To be MY disciple means placing your pride on the alter, to suffer disrespect and indifference for ME.
This is the cost for MY presence. The trading of revenge for a greater intimacy with ME. When the world offends you and seeks to cause you harm, will your anger be more important than your covenants? Will revenge and pettiness become your god?
I am a jealous God and will not share you, even with a carnal nature. Resentment is a clever demon, it causes you to adopted some attitudes and behaviors, that are incompatible and hostile towards MY Holiness.
Be careful in becoming overconfident, in the healing process. Restoration is a gift and an attribute of the power of The One that works through you. You are a reflection of power and not the source of power. Remember haughtiness comes before a fall and pride comes before destruction.
Matthew 15:7-11
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’ “Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. “Listen,” he said, “and try to understand. It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.”
