In the vision, the whirlwind was all around me, it was all that my eyes could see. Though the scene was chaotic, my spirit, surprisingly was not anxious.
Inside the spinning current were many things some good, some bad and some embarrassing. There were people I loved and also things that I earnestly desired, mature desires, beyond materialistic things.
For example: a desire for a better relationship, deeper covenant and ears to hear for my wife. Also, an increased relevance in my children’s lives, with the ability to shape them for purpose and not for my preferences.
Then, there were some hard things in the whirlwind, relationships and situations that seemed, irreparably beyond hope.
I saw opportunity for ministry and ways to operate in the the gifts entrusted to me. Candidly speaking, the magnitude of what God has shown me, about the callings on my life are overwhelming.
The whirlwind acknowledges the chaos and uses it to uproot and reposition things. The chaos is not from God, but the whirlwind is. The whirlwind will confuse the enemy and bring order, in key areas, simultaneously.
What will appear, as disorder to those outside of the whirlwind is in fact, God’s divine order. Your whirlwind experiences will be just for you and may not be understood, until later, when the manifestation is clear.
As the whirlwind was moving, shifting and reorchestrating the elements around me, each thing was placed and arranged in proximity to me. As I stood still, God placed the relationships and favorable circumstances at my feet.
The things that had caused me to pray, cry and curse before, were now accessible and directly within reach. It was God using the whirlwind to secure my path and right my relationships. All I did was trust and stand still.
This is what, I have learned:
*The whirlwind gives a sense of God’s timing and direction. There are 21 words for winds and each is unique to a season, region, force, temperature, direction, duration, geography, change in climate and affect on the landscape. This means that a wind is specific to a period, place and a position in both the natural and spiritual realms. The type of wind you are experiencing, indicates where you are spiritually.
*The whirlwind is for your enemies and naysayers. It was a wind the parted the Red seas for God’s people to cross on dry land. Is was God that harden Pharaoh’s heart, He wanted to make a spectacle of Pharaoh, his army, his chariots and his horsemen, that the enemies and oppressors of Israel would see the Glory of God and know He was Lord.
*God speaks from the whirlwind, He rebukes and will remind us of His power and might. The whirlwind is a demonstration of Gods’s sovereignty, he blesses who he chooses. Your righteousness is meaningless in the face of the King of Righteousness. All that you are and have are because of the Lord. Everything under heaven is the Lord’s and his plans have never failed.
Exodus 14:13-14
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
