It is difficult to serve God without emotion. Emotions do not make you weak, they make you human, as I intended. I have given you all three: emotions, intellect and a free will, this is your soul.
You carry both your best self and your worst self within the same soul, the same emotions and intelligence, but different wills. The will that prevails gets to make the decisions for your life.
When your decisions are based on your lower self, the result is always guilt or remorse. When your enlightened self makes a decision, it creates an encouragement within itself and a generation will benefit.
When it is time to mourn, mourn. When it is time to be joyous, be joyful. Each moment is to be lived and savored. Breathe in beauty, when you see it, but cry with the broken-hearted. Use your emotions to help heal hearts.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to count as lost, a time to keep and a time to discard, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
