When you begin to compare your life to others, you slowly are giving your authority away. When the standard of excellence is external, you will always chase it. However, when the measure is internal, you discover the only way can find it.
Gratefulness can only be scored from the inside and that which comes from the outside is only there to torment. In the game of comparison, there will always be someone that accomplished more, witnessed more and ascertained more.
Do not listen to those who brag, because the reality is far more harsh. To be jealous over another, not knowing the sacrifices made is a waste of virtue. Focus on your path, your plan and your purpose, because your greatest achievements are there.
In a fallen world no one escapes sorrows and no one has it all. Gratefulness is a choice, choose it wisely, often and quickly. Be grateful deliberately and be thankful in the moment by savoring each and every morsel.
2 Corinthians 10:12
For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
