#420 – Christ will Serve You

To become all things to all men is to surrender the ego by placing the needs, wants and desires of others, above your own. What you could say, by choice, is silenced and what you should charge, by choice, is written off.

Transmute the power of who you are into the concerns of those around you, become weakness in serving the weak and choose restriction for the sake of those restricted, to demonstrate the highest form of LOVE.

Sin is arrogant and sin is loud, sin is selfish and sin is self preserving. Sin is simple, it takes, but does not give. Choosing others, even when your confidence is not fully there is placing your faith over your fears.

This act of faith, simultaneously buries fear and plants a seed of hope. Here is MY commitment, serve the body, by becoming what MY people need and Christ will serve you, by becoming what you want.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.
