In the beginning the truth is always hard to hear. Over time, as you mature, develop and grow, the truth becomes something less sour and evolves into something very sweet, a choice morsel.
Instead of truth causing stress and anxiety it becomes music, a symphony, in your hearing. Why, because truth is freedom. Accepting truth draws us closer to the Truth Giver, this is what liberates the soul.
Within the confines of truth, problems are solved and chains are broken. Any foundation built on truth will last and the foundations built on a lie, however impressive, will assuredly fail.
The cost of truth is an enormity: ego, pride, falsehoods, self grandiosity, revenge, piousness and the illusion of control all must be exchanged for it. Truth stands the tests of time, it is eternal.
2 Timothy 2:15-17
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene.
