In MY correction is love, in man’s correction there is fear, the fear of rejection, the fear of abandonment and the fear of being alone. Your views of a father have been distorted and limited to an ability to perform.
When you behaved or performed well you received an abundance of attention and accolades, that feel like love. The results enforce a link between behaviors and love. Failing to measure up or bad behavior equals no love.
From this place of fear or a place desolate of love, every decision is compromised and every motivation is now led. A decision made from lack will be a perpetually poor decision, causing more poor decisions to follow.
It is time to leave the boat of fear and conditional love, to embrace to fullness of your identity in Christ. Unlike man, I AM a perfect Father and have loved you well before your mother’s womb. You carry MY Image, MY Likeness and MY Breathe, you are MINE.
Numbers 23:19-20
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
