Forgiveness cannot answer without humility’s call. To let go of your rights to being angry or hurt is a consideration for those that regard MY Glory as essential. A grudge and MY glory cannot occupy the same space.
Each person must reconcile their own faith and be given the freedom to embrace the beauty of repentance. Whether you receive an apology or not, moving from a place of offense is required.
Hurt, offense and anger reduce your ability to hear and act on MY voice. An offended you is an emotional you and an emotional you, makes decisions based on feelings and is incapable of having a full grasp of the facts.
Emotions have a place, they are indispensable in your human experience, but must be mastered. Emotions that control you, lead to chaos and confusion. Emotions that are subject to your control lead to empathy and become extensions of MY heavenly hands in an earthly form.
2 Peter 1:5-9
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.
