I AM calling you to inhabit environments, beyond the limits of what is right or what is wrong. Will you walk alongside MY people and comfort them? I AM calling you to be present, to listen, to feel and to embrace.
To be useful to ME is being what I need, when I need you to be it. Go to the lowly, go to the hurting and go to the ashamed. Be the blanket to the cold. Be a meal to the hungry. Be a voice to the marginalized. Be a distraction to the depressed.
Be whatever I need you to be, to set the captives free: some for a moment, some for a season and others for a lifetime. A thirsty man needs a drink of water, before he can even begin to listen.
A heart full of pain and devoid of love must be confirmed and comforted, before the healing processes can begin. Faith unselfishly looks to the process, while the flesh is only concerned with the outcomes.
1 Corinthians 9:22-23
When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.
