The human heart is only motivated by love or by fear. Either you are moved by emotions or logic, the anointing or offense and ultimately, the trauma of life or the purpose of life. Take a moment and evaluate why you do, what you do.
Is it for popularity? Is it for money? Is it for power? Is it for compliance? At the core of your behaviors are you stimulated by a connection to why you were born or rather, to avoid an earthly discomfort.
Ask yourself a hard question, there is a point when you will recognize that your heart and your mind have differing belief systems. There are things that you believe in your mind, but are denied by your heart.
This is called being double minded. You must choose the realm, the flesh or MY spirit. Your moving, acting and striving is pointing in a single direction, the carnal or the eternal. Your mind (intentions) and your heart (behaviors) must align.
James 1:22-25
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
