There are certain things that were built because of you and other things that were built for you. The difference is this, one can be sustained and the other one will drain. One will add and the other will take away.
The people you interact with, the places you go and the things you do are demanding and there will be a cost to pay in either time, energy or money. A higher cost is paid for distractions.
There is a difference between what is good and what is God, a difference between what constitutes power in the world and what is powerful in a Heaven. The most wealthy of you is poor, in MY realm.
Store up the right treasures and store up in the right realm. The gods of this world, the icons of this age and wisest of earthly men know nothing. What most are living for and eventually die for is of no consequence in eternity.
Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
