Do not abuse yourself, because you have missed the mark. Do not accept failure as a status, simply because you had a temporary lapse in judgment. The sin that exists in your members is not the person you are.
There is a distinction between the carnal man and the spirit man, your spirit will ascend with ME to heaven. MY love for you is not conditional and the blood of Christ has redeemed you irrevocably and cannot be undone.
The enemy’s job is to convince you, through shame, to relinquish control. His assignment is to steal, kill and destroy. If he cannot destroy you from the perimeter, he will try to sabotage from within.
Christ has forgiven your sins, he has triumphed over death and the grave and finally HE has the keys to hell. The blood of Christ has not given you a license to sin, but it has liberated you from the shame and the controls of judgement.
Romans 7:18-20
And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.
