When you feel out of control, release it. When the power to decide who you are and how you are perceived in this world is questioned, refuse to be manipulated. Man is incapable of determining worth.
A pearl to a child is a toy and the ability to perceive its worth is not possible. The child yet has the mind to know, what is at hand. This poor valuation is not a reflection on the worth of either the child or the pearl.
Both have immense worth, but have been placed in an impossible situation. This is the reality for many, you have been valuated by the uninformed and you have been uninformed in your valuation of others.
You have a unique opportunity to break this cycle. It may require overlooking an offense and holding someone harmless, that has done an immense harm. This is how you regain your power, by exhibiting forgiveness, long suffering and self control.
Hebrew 2:10
For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.
