#588 – The Crossroad

All lies will eventually be found out and all objectives, at some point, will be made known. I already know your heart and know the deep reasons for the things you do. You can have a good goal, but an evil intent.

You say the right things and do the right things, but your motivations are not pure. Have you considered why you do what you do? As the pressures reveal truth, all will soon know. Will you own the outcomes or blame someone or something else?

The crossroad is the moment when you are faced with a glaring contradiction in your character. You realize that there is a difference between the convictions of your mind, in contrast to the convictions of the heart.

The way you behave in these moments will demonstrate your level of integrity and growth. If the weight of the confrontation overwhelms and a decision is made to lie, maturation is hindered, but if the rebuke is received, character is developed.

Matthew 12:33-37
“A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”
