There is a beautiful struggle between the old man and the new man. It causes a delicate balance between the man that is emerging and the one falling away. A dance, where one step is forward and then two steps are back.
At any moment the pendulum can swing and what seemed like a loss, suddenly is an advantage. The people who do not win in situations like these are those who refuse to dance, because the dance is the process.
The process produces the power and the power produces the confidence and with confidence you will overcome. Your story has power, but the process gives you credibility and this is the value men seek.
A man cannot trust you, where they cannot trace the authenticity in the words you speak. Empathy will be the key to unlock the hope in many hearts. This is where your trials will prove themselves, by closing the gap between the failings of the flesh and the faith found in the spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:13-16
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
