There are two things a believer cannot live without, one is forgiveness and the other is repentance. Each is necessary in spiritual warfare. Forgiveness is your defense and repentance is your offense.
Forgiveness releases the right to be offended, it gives up the hurt and the pain, but retains the lessons learned from the experience. It takes the discomfort and turns it into empathy.
Repentance is the total ownership of what you do and say. It is to be completely responsible for all outcomes connected to your behaviors. It is to reassure those that are loved, led and affected by you.
Forgiveness is to wipe a substantial debt clear and to demand repayment no more. Repentance is to humble yourself through the changing of behaviors, to warrant the forgiveness of others.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
