The standard, that I have for you is not the same standard, for others. Be mindful of what I told you and do it, but forcing an expectation on others, designed for you, frustrates and causes confusion.
Your strengths and weaknesses are not the measure, Christ is the standard. Making yourself the model, shifts the spotlight from Christ to you. When man is the focus, man becomes God.
Competition sets in and goals become perverted. The fear of failing begins to overrule the faith of following. The priority of purpose is replaced with avoiding losses and embarrassment, rather than being lead by MY Spirit.
This is the trap and the Fowler’s snare. When good intentions are elevated to Godly aspirations men are entangled in a viscous loop of performance. Love is limited and linked to behavior.
Psalms 124:6-8
Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
