Is there a point when your traumas, experiences and opinions become contradictions to what God is doing? Have your trials and unique past, become an idol? Have the distractions become your God?
These questions answered too rashly are an indication that you are unaware. The enemy is found in the smallest of details and compromises. He uses the unseen against you and causes men to subvert themselves.
It is a cycle, the hurt seeks relief, the relief is addictive and leads to more hurt. From hurt to relief, hurt to relief, the victim unknowingly becomes the victimizer. The deeply wounded, lash out and wound others.
This is a self inflicted prison. You are the prisoner, jailer and warden of your own circumstances. You hold keys to your pardon. For this reason Christ was crucified, to set you free from Satan’s grip and self sabotage.
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.
