Ambition has a source. When doing what you do, saying what you say and thinking what you think, who gets the Glory? Does the glory go to God the Father or is the glory for you? Is your motivation self or God centered?
When the words and actions are designed to bring attention to you, this deflects the Glory from Jehovah to you. It is the same mistake made by Satan, he was stealing a recognition, that is made exclusively for Yahweh.
Not only is it egocentric and self serving, but it is also dangerous, because this is a prestige, that flesh and blood cannot contain. Seeking a praise ordained for a Perfect God places you in direct competition, for HIS due benevolence.
The evil one has convinced many of you, to chase after things and affections that were never meant for man. You have been set up to seek a high and to possess an honor, that will be guaranteed to destroy you.
Isaiah 45:2-7
“I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who call you by your name. For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen,
I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.
