Holding your breath, waiting for people to change around you is a pointless exercise. Wasting time hoping for an apology, expecting reciprocity or seeking retribution is meaningless.
Their heart-work is their responsibility and your heart-work is the same. Avoid giving excuses for the performance of other people. They have a burden and you have yours.
Validation and affirmation are poor standards to measure growth. The work is the work and no one gets a pass. The work must be done by you, for you and through you.
Man judges based on the output, but I judge based on the input. The fruit may fail, but I can repair the root. I can fix you at your core, but you first must submit to MY Will and MY way.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
