The oppressor and the oppressed are connected, perpetually. Even those who feel superior need, the so called inferior, for the cast system to work, because they are not superior standing alone.
Scarcity and a fear of losing creates hardwired internal beliefs and thoughts, that under examination are not true. Yet, produce the environment for this discrepancy to continue, indefinitely.
The oppressor and the oppressed are both locked into a system, that builds more anxiety and distrust over time, because they both have believed the lie, that the other is the problem.
Each member, within the group is complicit and must bear responsibility. The privileged must embrace dutiful humility and accountability. The downtrodden must seek authentic forgiveness and resist the urge to forfeit authority.
Isaiah 1:16-17
Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.
