It is hard, even impossible to be anointed and offended at the same time. Many are on the verge of something amazing, but offense is raising its ugly head.
The offense may be a sign of the times you are currently in. It can be an indicator of a coming promotion in the spirit realms.
The attacks may be strategic, seeking to force abrupt behaviors, that will cause you to forfeit an impending blessing.
If the spirit of indignation rises up in you, you may say or do something, that will take years to restore.
“It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it.” — Benjamin Franklin
David almost lost it, while in exile. He was on his way to take Nabal’s life, Abigail interceded and changed his mind.
[Read: I Samuel 25:2-38]
Nabal Angers David
Offense unchecked, always leads to a stronghold!
Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger …
– Anger will come and may come unexpectedly.
– Anger must be watched for and not allow to become lure for sin.
– Anger it is a fact of life and it must be addressed expeditiously.
– Anger must be dispersed within the day.
Anger can become an enemy foothold.
… do not give the devil a foothold.
Festering anger turns into:
– The spirit of Unforgiveness
– The spirit is Revenge
– The spirit of Bitterness
Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense
Whoever conceals an offense promotes love, but he who brings it up separates friends.
