The past cannot be changed. What you have in hand is the here and now. What is done is done and it cannot be erased. Yet, the meaning can be changed, by what you do with it.
The past thing, that broke you can be a memorial or if you face it, the moment can be a turning point. It is all up to you, whether the traumatic experiences are dreams or nightmares.
Saul was once a murderer convincing all around him to do the same. Once, he became Paul, he used his gift to make disciples for Christ. The same man, the same past, but a new intent.
In this moment, stretch your hands to heaven and receive a new anointing. You are not your résumé, you are not beholden to the past and you are empowered by the risen Christ, to make a new decision.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17
So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.a The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
