#771 – A Better You

Let them go. The hurting behaviors and the hurtful words cannot be undone. Accept what was said and acknowledge what was done, for what it is. It is painful, it is unfair, it is unsolicited and it is undeserved.

All the while, there is a benefit to the emotions, the feelings of abuse and the tensions only produced in an offended state. The overwhelming irrational condition is a unique opportunity to exercise restraint.

There is the contradiction of what you know to be true and the reality of how you feel. Your value systems are being called into question and the resulting response is a culmination of what you truly believe.

This crisis of character and of integrity is a crossroad that will lead to examination, internal analysis and the ultimate purification of the soul. Let the offenses do their perfect work, by remaining in them and like an architect, they will build a better you.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
