I Might Be a Prophet

Lord,

I ask you to enter the secret places of my heart and to penetrate the dark recesses of my mind. I am a wretch undone. I have hidden my fears, my insecurities and my shame away from you.

I realize hiding my sin from you was a mistake and is just more sin. I am asking for you to remove the cancer and remove my self sabotaging behaviors.

Fix me God, It is me not them. My children are not the problem, my spouse is not the problem and my caregivers are not the problem. I am the problem, I am the issue and I am the one who is holding me, back.

Fix me God and show me my ways. Fix my thinking, fix my words, fix my behaviors, Lord even fix my desires. My heart is desperately wicked.

I authorize you to remove the virus and the infection. Show me my ways, show me my flaws, show me the lies, that I hide behind.

Show me, who I really am, show me where I must grow.

Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.” Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
